The third book in the Hearts & Tailwinds series picks up where Loving Astrid left things — which is to say, not neatly. Alex and Astrid have made choices. The choices have made consequences. This is the part where they have to live in them.

Set against the high desert in late autumn, the book moves between a repossession job that goes sideways, a family estate Astrid was never supposed to inherit, and two people who have already used up their reasons to leave. What's left isn't easy. It's just true.
